What educational, entrepreneurial or business development programs, if any, have you taken advantage of?

Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
Funding? We're too small for all that.

What are some of the advantages to doing business here?
The biggest advantage is the tight-knit, family feeling of the small business community. People will do their best to help each other out, even competitors. It can be as simple as Tweeting a link to someone's project, but everyone tries to help.
Name an idea, policy or mindset from elsewhere that you would like to see this region adopt?
I would absolutely love the government of this region to realize that the lack of light rail is what is keeping people from other progressive cities from taking us seriously. When an outsider flies in to DTW and has to make their way to Detroit, the intervening trip and its complexities and cost are their first impression of Detroit, and it's never good.
What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Metro Detroit?
Fix public transportation, and help reduce blight and crime. The culture will follow. It's hard to be an entrepreneur when transportation costs are so high.

If you could change one thing about this region, what would it be?
If I could wave a magic wand, it would be to somehow destroy the rampant racism that divides this region so horribly.
