What educational, entrepreneurial or business development programs, if any, have you taken advantage of?
Crain Communications had a Second Stage Workshop that was very insightful. We were able to speak with experience business owners that already went through the growing pains that we were getting into. They shared what they learned along the way and we picked up some great tips for moving forward.

Where did you find your first employee?
Like anybody else who is starting up we asked around different networks until we found the person that fit what we were looking for.

Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?
So far we have had one intern become a regular employee, which was a very fulfilling thing. People come and go but it's always great to have people grow along with the company.

If you could change one thing about this region, what would it be?
I would change the minds of young people who decide that they have to leave to find opportunity when its right under their nose.

Name an idea, policy or mindset from elsewhere that you would like to see this region adopt?
I'd like to seem an even more entrepreneurial mindset emerge. More risk takers who are willing to go out on a limb to do big things.

What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Metro Detroit?
I think the easiest and most realistic thing that can be done is to simply spread the word about all the great things popping up in the region. Success is attractive and awareness alone could play a huge part in getting others to join the movement.
