What educational, entrepreneurial or business development programs, if any, have you taken advantage of?
I studied business administration at Michigan State University. Apart from my education there, I haven't taken advantage of any other programs. I'm currently exploring some of the entrepreneurial resources that are available in the area.

Who was your first customer and where did you find them?
My first customer was a real estate agent in Alaska, actually. I was running an online advertising campaign and it just happened he was the first person to sign up.

Where did you find your first employee?
I hired some freelance graphic designers to design some of the templates for the pages that get created. I found them through some work they published to various design galleries.

Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?
I haven't had any interns yet but look forward to the point where I can start bringing people on board.

Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
The company has been entirely self-funded to date. I bootstrapped the site while working full-time at my job developing websites.

Name an idea, policy or mindset from elsewhere that you would like to see this region adopt?
I love the concept of the Tech Brewery in Ann Arbor which serves as a common space for entrepreneurs and startups to come together and work. I would like to see a similar space open up that focuses on bringing those types of minds together.

What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Metro Detroit?
Create and encourage more programs for middle and high-school students to get out into the community and work on an idea they have. Once they see something they've created start to get traction, they'll keep that mentality going throughout their college and adult careers.
