What educational, entrepreneurial or business development programs, if any, have you taken advantage of?
I have attended Ann Arbor SPARK's Entrepreneur Boot Camp.

Who was your first customer and where did you find them?
We received a five-year grant from the U.S. Dept of Commerce and a subcontract from Virtual EM, a small R&D firm in Ann Arbor.

Where did you find your first employee?
Through existing relationships of one of the equity owners.

Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?

Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
Automation Alley provided seed funding and then invested in another convertible loan.

What are some of the advantages to doing business here?
There is easy access to qualified talent pool.

What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Metro Detroit?
Make the region attractive to investors, such as helping companies obtain more federal grants. That's the cheapest money you can find for growing and establishing your operations. We should also invest in higher education to keep the graduates in the region, infrastructure such as fiber-optics/high-speed internet and commuter rail between Detroit and Ann Arbor. We must move away from commuting on highways. It is outdated, wastes time, takes lives, pollutes environment and drains incomes. We also need to create a new/fresh atmosphere while cleaning up corruption and filling city government positions with decent/enthusiastic/smart/intelligent/educated people.
