What educational, entrepreneurial or business development programs, if any, have you taken advantage of?
We receive a great deal of mentorship from Detroit Venture Partners. It is always helpful to get advice from people like Josh Linkner and Dan Gilbert who have been through starting and growing successful businesses.

Who was your first customer and where did you find them?
Caesars Entertainment. We made the connection with Caesars through Dan Gilbert. Again, this is another example of the benefits of being a part of the Detroit Venture Partners family of companies.

Where did you find your first employee?
He was a referral from Detroit Venture Partners.

Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?
Yes, two of our four interns are now full-time team members.

Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
Detroit Venture Partners has provided our capital.

What are some of the advantages to doing business here?
Detroit is close to our clients and an attractive city for technology talent. There is a growing technology core as the city transforms in to Detroit 2.0. There is also a surprising amount of good technology professionals in the city.

What advice would you give to someone who was thinking about opening a business here?
Visit a few businesses in Detroit, and you will see growth and opportunity. There is a lot of energy and potential in the city, and things are really booming. People need to get aboard now before they miss out altogether.

What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Detroit?
Put an Apple store downtown. Create places where young people want to gather and hang out.
