Who was your first customer and where did you find them?Our first client was another translation company. They found us surprisingly when they were in dire need for an Urdu translator.
Where did you find your first employee?Using
detroit.craigslist.org.
Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?We have done it once. She is still working for me as my primary project manager.
Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?I believe in organic growth and therefore have expanded my company organically based on client demands and new client acquisitions.
What are some of the advantages to doing business here?Michigan has access to affordable office space and access to a relatively young employee base. It also has exposure to various cultures of the world.
What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Metro Detroit?Somehow make it easy to acquire new clients for new entrepreneurs. Client acquisition is the most challenging part for a new entrepreneur followed by need for intelligent management of human resources.
