What educational, entrepreneurial or business development programs, if any, have you taken advantage of?
Our group has been hands on in the printing and photography industry for more than 20 years. Our management team has a strong educational background in business management and marketing from the University of Michigan, which greatly contributes to our extensive knowledge and success.

Who was your first customer and where did you find them?
The Chair Cover Collection in Western Michigan was our first client. They were referred to us through our affiliate marketing company, CU Innovative Marketing.

Where did you find your first employee?
Our first employee was working for a financial institution at the time, which we were providing all their printed marketing and promotional materials. He applied for an outside sales position and was later hired.

Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
The capital to start and grow our company was funded from our affiliate marketing and technology companies. Our affiliates provided financial stability until we were able to start generating a profit.

What are some of the advantages to doing business here?
The new business growth in Detroit has greatly contributed to the increased need for print advertising and marketing. Also, the proximity of having your client within blocks reach and diversification of businesses in Detroit enables you to easily have face-to-face contact and builds on lasting business relationships.

What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Metro Detroit?
If local leaders could provide special incentives for new startups, such as tax breaks and recognition programs, we believe it would encourage more young business people to take a look at the advantages and opportunities of locating in Detroit. With local leaders continuing to invest time and money into the city, it will surely spiral further growth and development. Making Detroit a central hub for business and national events will also help generate more young entrepreneurs to the city.
