Eller Taxi Media in Las Vegas.

Where did you find your first employee?
From an online job posting in San Diego.

Yes, four times.

What could local leaders do to help attract and retain more entrepreneurial young people to Metro Detroit?
Sometimes it's indirect things that can make the biggest impact on entrepreneurship, like bike paths and bridges connecting communities, grocery stores and restaurants in downtown Detroit that offer affordable healthy food choices.

What is one thing Michigan does better or has going for it that other more successful regional economies don't?
One thing Michigan has going for it is the element of surprise. People in Michigan are scrappy hardworking survivors. Finding new ways to define success, adapting/evolving to survive and creating new industry is what Michigan does best. No other regional economy has more raw materials of entrepreneurship and innovation. Folks looking to places like silicon valley for the next big thing might well be in for a big surprise.

What do you see in Metro Detroit that other people who live outside the area don't?
The raw talent pool. From engineers to usability experts and software programmers to graphic designers, some of the most hardworking, loyal and creative people we've found thrive in angst. And angst is something Michigan has in abundance. The talent pool here in Michigan is brilliant. We're proud to be able to provide emerging touch screen user interface design/technology job opportunities in Detroit for some of these hardworking folks that have made and continue to make Michigan a manufacturing force to be reckoned with.
