What educational, entrepreneurial or business development programs, if any, have you taken advantage of?
We have attended Ann Arbor SPARK Entrepreneur's Boot Camp and the Great Lakes Entrepreneur's Quest business plan competition.

Who was your first customer and where did you find them?
Our first business-to-business customer was Genisys Credit Union, and they contacted us from a referral. They were our credit union beta customer.

Where did you find your first employee?
GLEQ. Our coach wanted to also help us and be a part of our business.

Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?

Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
We have received capital from angel investors, an Ann Arbor SPARK microloan and a First Step Fund microloan.

What are some of the advantages to doing business here?
Ann Arbor is very welcoming to web technology companies compared to other areas in the state. Ann Arbor SPARK is an excellent resource for start-ups.

What advice would you give to someone who was thinking about opening a business here?
There are a number of tremendous resources to help small businesses succeed in southeast Michigan. The key is finding the right resources for your particular business. Ann Arbor SPARK, Automation Alley, TechTown, Macomb-OU Incubator to name a few business accelerators that help refine your business model, provide business coaching and resources in the areas of finance, marketing, legal and sales. Get involved and network as there are many entrepreneurs to learn from.
