Recruited from a local health system.

Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?  
Not yet, but hopefully soon.

Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
We have a no-debt financial strategy and have not worked with financial institutions. However, we have begun getting interesting inquiries from private equity firms.

What do you see in Metro Detroit that other people who live outside the area don't?
A prevalent theme of get-it-done intelligence and attitude.

What is one thing Michigan does better or has going for it that other more successful regional economies don't?
A collaborative infrastructure and successful track record for entrepreneurs.

If you could change one thing about this region, what would it be?
Better alignment of government and business goals, and more sunshine.

Wellco's health tracking software a hit, adds positions

Royal Oak-based Wellco isn't a provider these days as much as it is a fixer when it comes to improving the health of Metro Detroit's workforce. "We have become much less a wellness provider and more of a company that fixes wellness programs," says Scott Foster, president of Wellco.
